I found a 1970's Kentucky 45 cal. ultra high (Japanese made) kit new in the box today at a local shop. This rifle had never been put together however, the barrel is a bit rusty on the outside. The inside looks nice and clean. It still had the price tag on it $59.88 and in the original packaging. The store owner wanted $100.00 for it and I ended up getting it for $60.00 out the door. I dropped it off at my local smith to have him get all the rust off the barrel. It appears to have a maple stock and the only thing that was missing is the front blade sight. Does anyone know what the twist might be on this rifle and are these things safe to shoot? If not safe to shoot I will finish it and make a wall hanger out of her.
