Is Jax Black reusable or should one discard the portion used to soak small parts?

Keep the used portion separate. It'll stay good for a while but goes bad. Can't say how quickly if stored and sealed but can say that when it starts losing it's color it's done.

Another note. I ran out of WD40 and BLASTER when using the stuff the other day. Figured kerosene would work to neutralize it. Yeah, it doesn't. Trying to decide if I'm going to strip everything and start over or leave it and see what the heavily patinaed parts look like on the assembled rifles once stocks are done.

As said it is reusable. I keep a solution of Jax Black and distilled water in a sealed glass jar for dipping small parts. Used the same solution for 10 months or more. Just don’t pour any left overs back in the original bottle.

What is your ratio when cutting with distilled water? Also does it change the finish it puts on the parts when used?
