Howdy folks, I found this site from another forum link I think came from a member here. I've owned a couple of cap n ball revolvers for years, but just purchased a new .50 Hawken rifle. There seems to be quite a lot of info about shooting B/P I never took into account with just the revolvers. I don't mean more "stuff", like goodies. I mean more load, and handling differences. Since I'm new to this area of the shooting discipline, I'll just sit and listen for now.
Thanks in advance for the info, and help I'll be learning from the group. B.

I'm glad you found the forum! Welcome and just sit and listen for a while; you;ll learn much of what you need to know. Emery

Howdy! Welcome aboard. :hatsoff:

There's a lot of great info here alright. There are many different ways of achieving the same thing. Try them out and see what works best for you. One thing I've learned from these folks is that there's no "one" right way to do anything, despite the insistance of a few that their way is the only way! :rotf:

Welcome to the forum Big Papa, while I ain't a Jayhawker, I'm a TexiKan.

I'm northwest of you, west of Salina on I-70.

You might look up the KMA website as there are clubs in your area and shoots going on.

There is a lot to learn on here in regards to your pistol.
