I've got a .45 cal kentucky pistol that I built from a CVA kit in the early 1970's. It's a fun gun to shoot. I recently acquired a .50 cal kentucky pistol from Pedersoli. The hammer action is much stronger and it sparks much better. I now see how weak the spring has gotten on the CVA.
Can anyone out there point me in the direction of some replacement parts? I'd like to replace the main spring and frizzen. :thanks:

They may be the same guns as currently imported by Traditions. If so, they may be able to get some parts for you. They seem to work by back-order. The hammer spring on mine is weak too and the sparks are meager. I do get moderately good ignition though.

With an identical one in caplock, I find the CCI caps are too tough but remingtons seem to go off in the few test pops I've tried.
