Hello all, Looking for a TC Mould for .54 Maxi Hunter bullets (#7376). Let me know if you have one you’re willing to part with. Thank you.

Those maxihunter molds can be pretty hard to find.
Another option is paper patching the Lyman mold # 533476 if you can find one. It has a wide flat point for hunting and a thick skirt for heavy powder charges.

Another interesting design was a maxihunter-ish looking mold made by Challenger (can't be certain as to the manufacturer).

The ones I’ve seen on eBay are either for a Maxi Ball (not Maxi Hunter) or are for a wrong caliber. I need .54. Thanks for looking for me. It’s specifically the Thompson #7376.

Went through the boxes to see if there were any bullets left from when I had the Maxihunter mold. Didn't find any.
:(
It was a pretty darn good design for the .54 TC. Expanded to fill the rifling quite nicely.

If bound and determined to have a plain base then converting a minie mold may be a practical way to go. This one I want to try out with a strong cotton paper wrap in the Lyman .54 Great Plains Hunter barrel. Maybe the plug should be shortened a smidgen for a longer bullet.
