Well here it is. It has been cleaned up more since this pic, but my battery needs to be charged before I can get more pics.

Why do I call it a junk gun? Because I made it from a whole bunch of crap from under my bench. The barrel is turned from a scrap piece of barrel I had laying around, the housing is anothe piece of barrel and the rest I made from chunks of steel and the springs were made from spring stock.

Roy...That's brilliant!
Would you call that a box lock, or screw barrel pistol? If you make another down the road you can do it with a disappearing trigger

Keep up the good work!

well its not very boxy(same concept),but it is a screw barrel. I sort of copied it from an original, well I had a pic and that was about it. This one ofcourse is a lot less fancy.

Roy,

That's really cool.
Did you put a hole in the frizzen to aim through?

Gregg

no but drilling that hole for the touch hole was a real kick in the head...

this ROY guy is pretty clever! i've gotten some stuff from him and his work is pretty awesome! the tow worm he made is real nice,he done fixed me up w/ a single trigger fer my rifle and is a makin a combo tow worm and a guaranteed fer life spark throwin striker fer to start my fires...and he's pretty funny sometimes too...pretty good guy! like most i've met on this forum..dang clever people..wish i was one! :hatsoff: RC

Thanks,
I would like for one day to get my hands on a milling machine I think I really reduce the time and effort I put into these things. As of now I use an old rattley lathe and a drill press for most of my work. Except for the heating and beating, sawing, grinding and filing. Did I happen to mention the filing? :youcrazy: :rotf:

Well since its not an aiming gun It shoots just fine  . It uses around 20 grains of powder and a .451 ball. Thanks for all of the kind words.

Final pic of the finished piece, polished up barrel lug added and some chicken scratchen on the side.

Now I have to apologize, for posting pics of a traditional non-muzzleloading inline. :haha: :blah:

Makes me wonder about cap and ball revolvers :hmm:

Thanks once again for your compliments. :hatsoff:
