Just an afternoon horn

Had a need for another powder horn, so with some old lumber scraps, carpet tacks, an old flea market horn and a bit of patients I scraped and scratched a powder horn together this afternoon.
Far from a prize winner but functional none the less.

Here, I thought that I was going to see a powder horn that was similar to a DAY horn, but only meant to be used in the afternoon or Half Day horn, so to speak!

Thanks folks. Didn't really have a plan but once I started scraping, filing and whittling I just couldn't put it down until it was finished. Nothing like the enjoyment of seeing a DIY project come to fruition.

Nothing better than taking one of those shabby made flea market horns and turn them into somthing nice and useful. GOOD JOB! My favorite type of project.!
