Hi all,
I've been lurking on this forum for a few months and would like to start off by saying thanks all for this little community!

I've been target shooting with repo remington new model (1858) for almost a year now, and I am enamored with the slow pace, detail and history that black powder shooting has to offer. I have yet to purchase a bp long arm (probably something hawken esque), but my goal is to eventually be comfortably sitting at the 100 yard line.... Which might be a lofty goal with my eyes!

In the greater Sacramento region. Surrounded by irrigated farm land and away from any fault lines. The only natural disaster to worry about would be another great flood (scary piece of history there). The winters here are wonderful and our farmers markets are filled with all sorts of seasonal produce.
