.40cal 43" A weight GM barrel.
Chambers late Ketland lock.
almost no sandpaper on this one - all scraped. definetly a different finish texture.
All criticisms and constructive comments welcome.

Mike, that's a very nice rifle! What are your thoughts on the stiffness of the .40 cal in an A weight?

Very nice MM... I too would be interested in how you finished the metal. Has a nice rustic look to it that many browned items I have seen don't have.

thanks for the kind words folks.
Used LMF browning.
Difference was I used it over about a 2 month period, over and over again.
Lots of coats and lots of patience in between.
In fact, some might say I used a little too much patience.... but I was looking for some aggressive texture on this one. Took a bit of doing to get the rusting to stop.
Can't really comment on the stiffness of a .40 cal in an A weight barrel - would it be a problem ?
Didn't count hours.

I do know that, like building a house, it seems 80% of the time is spent on the last 10% of the build.
