Seems like it would vary from lock to lock, type of flints used, etc, etc so I can't directly help with your particular rifle.

As one possible reference I have a couple thousand shots on a couple different TC Flintlocks with black English flints and the frizzens are still in fine shape.

So my guess is I'll get a few to several thousand shots out of them based on what I see so far...(a new TC frizzen is about $15)

About as often as you replace the shocks on your car.

Depends on the road and your driving style. 5,000 to 10,000 shots. About 5 years for some and 250 years for others. As Mark posted, it's a lot more common to reharden one that has lost its spark.

We gave our son a Pedersoli bess in 1985. The frizzen was hardened twice before it finally gave up the ghost in 2004 or 05 after who knows how many shots. Leonard Day sent the new one off with his frizzens for some hardening process he uses and it has worked fine since then.
