I had posted I was going to try with just files ,,hacksaw,,dremmel snd said paper. Well here it is. I've just got it held together with finish nail and vise. Still need to do a lot of sanding. Also need to tap the piece on top so the arpeture will screw in. I've got a 12x40 tap ordered. Got the finish nail through the arpeture for pics.Still have to install lock screw snd elevation screw. The block on rear that the arpeture is on moves left and right.Thats where the lockdown screw goes.

As of now I've got about 5/16 L&R adjustment. That's total not 5/16 R and5/16 L. Total between R& L
That should be enough wouldn't you think. Still got front sight movement
I will put the elevation adjust on it today I hope.should have 3/8 above zero and 3/8 below zero

Here you guys go update on that peep I made. Still waiting on tap so I can install the arpeture. Will look better with the arpeture.

Ok here's what it will look like once arpeture is in and I just shortened the flat bar of sight about 5/8 to 3/4. I've got a arpeture just stuck on with a small piece of small plastic straw. The puc on lefttap on it. The one on right just use your fingers to inlarge.

I made a peep out of thick metal and a similar one to the first out of thin metal. I found that with the thicker metal the countersink had more purchase on the tang screw and stayed in place if the rifle was jostled around a bit, the thin metal sight wasn't as stable and was easily knocked out of alignment. I bent the peep so the sight picture aligns the front blade to the top of the rear sight notch.
