None. I just ordered 10lbs at 22.90 @ so I saved $70.00 which I will use to buy Mrs dinner next time Im ready to buy a new gun (buttering up works here....most the time). I could also buy that dinner the day before I expect a package she dont yet know about!!

The one question is, how many pounds do you shoot in a year? If one pound, then the $30/# is high but for one more pound might be worth it just for convenience. If you shoot 2-4 four pounds, then I would order 4 pounds.

Well 3 pounds will kill that extra $100 bill tucked behind your driver's license but that's what it's for, an emergency. True you could order it cheaper but it's right there and no Hazmat charges. It's better to overpay a bit and have something to shoot than go cheap have nothing while wishing you had paid the price. YMMV

You can buy Goex for less than $30/lb WITH Hazmat and shipping included. Maybe not 1#, but for not too large an order. Black Powder is probably NOT going to get cheaper over time and depending on how things go in the U.S. now with a less shooting sport friendly administration in charge, one might have a hard time getting it at all. I just went in with some friends and we ordered 25# to split. I got SWISS for less than $30 a pound delivered right to my door.

In this day and age, I would buy as much as I could comfortably afford. I have a Muzzeloading shop that’s about 40 miles from me one way, he has everything that everybody else is out of.I’ve made a few trips there and spent a lot of money there in the last few weeks..

How many shots / pounds do you go through per year? I think having 2-3 years' supply on hand lets you be selective in your shopping. If you had < 1 year's supply then you have less choice. However, if you think that getting BP MIGHT be subject to mail order or other restrictions (due to the political climate) in to the foreseeable future , then you should stock up with a lifetime supply. But look around when you are buying large quantities

A full charge is 1 pound of powder per shot. I usually only shoot about 3/4 of a pound though. Cannons are pricy to shoot.
