Keeping a flaw

I ordered another Kibler (they are addictive)

This SMR has a really cool flaw that I like.

My original plan was to finish it almost black with tannic acid but after looking at it I would like the flaw to show.

Do yall think agua fortis will darken the stock but leave the bark showing?

I don't think the iron nitrate liquid will soak into bark, so agreed with JK above that not much color change will happen.

I'm thinking it "stands out" right now because the surrounding wood hasn't been darkened.
 
I would leave it and finish it as I would normally do. I think it adds character. I have a custom Tennessee and the builder found some worm holes and he wanted to know if that would bother me. I said to leave them and I really like the way it looks.
