My new firestorm should be in this week. I now own an old tc renegade 54 cal, encore 50 cal,and a firestorm 50 cal.Is there one powder I can use in all three guns? I was thinking about useing fff for everything including the pan on fstorm. Is there any reason this won't work? It just seems much easier to keep 1 powder. I am not an avid shooter just a hunter.

No reason you can't use 3f in all of them if they will all shoot it accurately. Some guns just prefer 2f and some 3f, but if all of your will shoot ok with the 3f, go for it.

Sounds like I know what I'm going to buy. Are there any brands that I need to stay away from? Looking at triple 7.

You need real black powder, not 777, Pyrodex, or any other sub, if you are shooting a flintlock. Stay away from Elephant if someone is cruel enough to try to give you some of it. Goex is a good choice. Swiss is real good, but more expensive.
