Yes, sounds easy.......... How many times ya browned a barrel & misc & go to put it together & you can't fine a screw........ :rotf: Or ya got them all browned & ya look & say "oh manure... did I have those two longer ones in the toeplate or the patchbox ?? " :idunno: And where in the He// did the front sight go ? :cursing:

Here is how I keep up with them. Simple, easy & free.... well sorta....... Old silverware container with sections, just moved the one piece over to allow a t/guard. Keep the screws with the piece they attach........ no more hunting misplaced parts.

I like that idea. I use an old cigar box for misc parts and I have a piece of wood with holes drilled to put screws and pins; I align them in order that they go into my project.

I'm going to have to borrow your idea!

Thanks for that little tip BD. Like Goldhunter, I put the parts in a cigar box, or small cardboard box. Screws are put in a piece of cardbord with the corresponding part or marked as to location.

I have the cigar box, a shoe box and lots of ziploc baggies and bowls. I mark them with a sharpie on the bags and bowls.

I use egg boxes for small parts...you can close them so you are less likely to throw the wholelot on the shavings covered floor
