That is a great looking rifle, my SMR kit in .40 should be here in a week or 2. Just curious as to what grade your stock is and what you stained it with?
Tannic acid, aqua fortis, and I’m using tried and true finish. I put three or four drops of Laurel Mountain Forge cherry in 2 tablespoons of finish and started rubbing it back, using the tinted finish, with a maroon Scotch-Brite pad. This gave me that red warmth back into the wood. Some people use Amber toner to bring the warmth back but I like that touchup reddish warm. I did two coats of tannic acid and aqua fortis, letting it dry between coats before I started rubbing it back. That is a great looking rifle, my SMR kit in .40 should be here in a week or 2.
