Had no problems with a few coats on my smr. Seemed as easy to use as truoil but waited 24 hours between coats

For muzzleloaders, used nothing but BC True Oil. Wipe in on with my fingers, wipe off any excess real good, put in the corner for a day or two to dry. Behind the stove works well on winter weather.
Did a couple of center fire stocks. Ran with that for a few years then decided they (I) needed a change. Sanded them down and shot them with Automotive Clear. The BC acted as a sealer.
The Auto Clear brought out grain and colors (laminated wood) that you didn't see with just the BC.
For summer time, Clear Poly Spray in warm weather. 2 or 3 light coats. Dry in hours and tough as nails. :D

I have some but haven’t tried it yet. lol, will let you know. I have used truoil with great success also. I’m working on my second kibler Fowler as I speak so won’t be too long.

Anybody here try the new Kibler Gunstock Sealer and Finish:
https://kiblerslongrifles.com/products/kibler-gunstock-sealer-and-finish
which I take to replace Permalyn as no longer available, and your thoughts on the Kibler product if you've used it?
I ordered some today.
Look at the ingredients. If tung oil what percent? Also dryers VOC? I trust Jim so if you follow his instructions you won’t go wrong. Stay Way from boiled linseed oil. It takes forever to dry and it has to be applied every so often. I used Chambers with good results and Miniwax Antique oil with favorable results.
