When You factor in that Credit card companys are charging Him 3% on the average. Which most of his business is via CC I am sure He is only making a additional 2% increase.
If most of his business is CC purchases and he's intelligent, that added 3% cost has already been factored into the purchase price.

Jim Kibler is a nice man. He needs to get some more variety on the market though. If he does, in fact, add a fowler and a Hawken he’ll sell even more guns. Not so sure this “woodsrunner” rifle is the best choice. Seems awful close to the Colonial he offers now.

I think Jim probably knows more about his products and market than any of us. I would think the Woods Runner, being shorter and more of a hunting rifle might find a wider audience than the Colonial, and not actually compete with it. I have one of his SMR rifles in .36 and a Colonial in .54. I would like a Woods Runner in .45 or .50 and a Fowler, in any order they come. : )

Sounds to me that Jim Kibler is trying to grow the business in a controlled manner at a rate that he is confident he can handle without causing quality to suffer or creating production problems. Seems to be a smart business manager to me.

I agree. It’s not the normal business approach but it’s the smart one.

He has a high quality, but very small operation. It takes time and monetary investment to develop new products. CNC machines aren't cheap! I'm sure he will be able to expand his business as his reputation builds, but he has to compete with the "cheap" modern in-line rifles so many fall for. If more states made it legal to use only weapons such as the Pennsylvania "flintlock only season", he would all ready have a larger sales base.

I think he is in slow growth mode both by design and necessity. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to hire in people to work effectively (economically) in his shop. I think he is looking for help now.

There's probably a good market for anything that he decides to build.

Oh I don’t think anyone is blaming him. I’d love to know how many kits he ships out a month. With the cost of supplies, overhead, etc it has to be over 15-20
I'd really like to know what the dealer markup is on modern unspeakable handguns in general! More secret than the combination to Ft. Knox....

Mom and Pops usually have a 10-15% mark up. Some makers require certain pricing and there isn’t much wiggle room. Problem these days is few buy directly from the maker so you’re paying the maker, the distributor and the gun store not to count the excess federal tax as well as some excess local and state taxes.

Me thinks...if you have old standby,s dont get rid of them. If it aint broke dont fix it. Same for the supplys your sitting on. You had foresight to see some things I had. Like others....now Folks are grappling...for stuff they should have thought about...paying no attention to particular climes....I know I will hunt to my dying Day. No im not Svengali.....just came from an environment that had the writing on the wall that would eventually spread out. Stay safe in your means.....Best Scott

I’ve reached out to Mr Kibler about when the Woodsrunner will be available to at least get on the waiting list. Haven’t heard back but I’m sure the shop is going full wide open. Anyone else got any up to date information?

From the quality the firearms I have seen forum members produce from Kibler Kits , I would say you folks are lucky to have a company like Kibler's making such high quality and reasonably priced kits . I find it a pity he won't export .
