Has anybody taken a Kibler SMR and shorten it up a foot or so to make a handier carbine out of it?
If the contour of the stock matches the barrel, I guess it wouldn't matter where you cut it at, but I would think 2 or 3 inches in front of the second lug would work.I haven't seen one cut down, yet. I'm sure it will happen at some point.
Where would you cut it relative to the swamped profile?
I have, though, seen this half stock that someone created. I think it might be the longest half stock I have ever seen. A shortened SMR would be light as a feather, too.

Aren't you going to spoil its original absolutely perfect balance point? What price to pay for "handiness"?Has anybody taken a Kibler SMR and shorten it up a foot or so to make a handier carbine out of it?
