Any one ever made a knife from a worn out sawzall blade? They seem like tough steel but also hold an edge. I realize that I would have to shape it without destroying the heat treat.
I have made a few! work well and hold a fair edge.
I rough shape on a small grinder and final shape/bevel with a belt sander....all held in my hand so I can feel the heat!
FWIW, I have the best success with the dewalt "demo" series blades and the longer lennox brand.
