I have turned the back half of the horn into a large powder horn, pretty much something akin to a wagon horn.

The wood has some history, taken from old furniture used in our government buildings in Pretoria before the buildings were refurbished in the 90's.

Thanks guys, but I think it is sometimes more luck than skill.

I'm blessed to have good material to work with. :hatsoff:

Heinrich,
That is really nice! Lot bigger than I would use but I can still appriciate your craftsmanship
snake-eyes:applause:

Thanks Snake-eyes, that horn is impractically large. I won't use it, still wondering what I'm going to do with it now.

Look at this one, this is a little bag-horn's base plug. Blesbuck horn with wild olive wood. It's in my wife's collection, and took me months to finish.

Heinrich,
I can't say it enough; your work is creative awe-inspiring  You and Titus are making truely South African horns and setting a new trend in muzzleloading accessories.

greetings,

i tried to get some horns like you have there. but when i went to the zoo with a saw, they asked me in no uncertain terms to leave.

with attitudes like that, how do they expect me to make an african type horn. some people are so rude :shocked2:

..ttfn..grampa..

Grampa, I get that attitude when I go to a cattle farm... :winking:
