Kudu horn for powder horn

I have turned the back half of the horn into a large powder horn, pretty much something akin to a wagon horn.
The wood has some history, taken from old furniture used in our government buildings in Pretoria before the buildings were refurbished in the 90's.

Thanks Snake-eyes, that horn is impractically large. I won't use it, still wondering what I'm going to do with it now.
Look at this one, this is a little bag-horn's base plug. Blesbuck horn with wild olive wood. It's in my wife's collection, and took me months to finish.

i tried to get some horns like you have there. but when i went to the zoo with a saw, they asked me in no uncertain terms to leave.
with attitudes like that, how do they expect me to make an african type horn. some people are so rude :shocked2:

Heinrich: Very nice kudu horn indeed. Just got back from Namibia and would love to have one with mopane or false ebony plugs. My PH said kudu powder horns were widely used in voortrekker times.
