L&R Trade Lock

Does anyone here have experience using or owning the L&R Trade lock?? I am considering buying a new one for a build but have read about quality issues in the past. Anyone who has a current manufacture L&R Trade lock, please advise on the quality.

My Tip Curtis built 16 gauge smoothbore has the L&R lock ..
I assume it’s the Trade Lock…
I’ve had zero complaints with it and it’s easy on flints & sparks well..

Handsome! BTW, modern shotgun ammo in 16ga. is rather pricey; it's lower use and demand inflate the cost, even though it's a great hunting round.

I have one on my smoothie and have not had any issues what so ever. It is easy on flints and fairly quick though I will admit not as fast as Kibler's round faced lock. I like it just fine though.

I recently obtained the LR trade lock and it seems to be a good one. Sparked it several times and it’s a good sparker. The tolerances in the tumbler are a large. We will see. thanks

I've used two of them in the last few yrs.. I like the robust big lock. Have them on three guns I made for my own use,. Lotsa spark , and fast enough.

Not exactly historically correct. needs to be about an inch longer.
