L & R's new Siler style lock

I saw recently that L & R is coming out with a new lock, especially for smaller American style guns, and since they don't currently offer a lock for the Pedersoli Kentucky/ Pennsylvania rifle (both models use the same lock), I'm wondering if this lock will work in Pedersoli's Kentucky rifles.

MSRP is $270.00. I see no reason to change out my small Siler lock.

And if he made one for the Pedersoli Kentucky/Pennsylvania rifle, I would probably try one, but after checking with them this weekend, they don't make a lock so my options are limited so far.

Do you have a Track of the Wolf catalog? You could match up your lock to the full size pic of a small Siler and see how close it is.

I don’t know what L&R puts that boss on the underside of the pan cover. At best it’s useless, but in reality all it does is compact your priming powder down, which is stupid. I have several of their locks and always grind off that protrusion.

I’ll have to agree with that. Dumbest thing I’ve seen , I remove it also.

I think they claim it “rain proofs” the pan.

Yeah, I’ve read that and it’s hogwash. It’s a bad design and they just don’t want to fix it.
