Lehigh,
Is that from a "kit", I mean your Dad had the parts lying around, but did you do the stock work. How much work you got left to do?

do you have or can you get some close up pictures....i'm bout to start mine soon as the parts are ordered and are here.......................bob

Slowpoke , no it was not a kit. The stocks butt was shaped Barrel channel was started and ram rod hole started. I shaped from the wrist on up. Still have more a lot more shaping to do around the lock. I'm have a hard time getting the lock area and fore arm to look right. It seems like most lacasters like this were made with swamped barrels so it just doesn't look the same. Still have to put on a patch box do some carving and try some engaving. This is a before shot on the stock shape. it was Pretty much a block in front of the wrist

Lehigh,
Be sure to make the lock panels thin. About 1/8 inch from the lock.. Thin panels look better and are more PC.

Terry

Hi Bob I'll post more pics. Have to take some. thanks for the interest. I saw your part makeup on your lancaster is close to mine. Thanks Terry, I'm still working on that area. Have to bring the trigger gaurd down with it to. it's too round under lock I think. I want to make it flatter.
