I have for sale here this beautiful confederate, coffin handle bowie inspired by an original from 1861.
The blade is made from 3/16" thick 1075 high carbon steel. It measures 10-1/2" long, 1-3/4" wide and 15-3/4" overall. The handle is two pieces of flame maple with a silver liner secured with two iron pins. It is lightly aged and features some decorative embossing in the wood, but for the most part it retains that simple, rustic look of the original. The scabbard is snugly fitted to the knife and is made from 9-10 oz veg tan stained with a traditional home-brewed vinegaroon. It will accomodate up to a 3" wide belt. This knife is made to be used, but would look great in anyone's collection.
I'm asking $375 USD via Paypal. Insured shipping is included to both Canada and the US.
Thanks for looking!
