Really? never had a problem like that before, this one is probably#30 and have only had a problem with 1 leaking and that was the customer hung it in direct sun in a mudroom in the summer in Michigan and that was an easy fix to seal the seams back up, it's why I use beeswax to jack the leather and seal it, what did you use to jack the leather and what weight was the leather?Just be careful with it. I made one only to have it shatter like glass when dropped
It was goat skin, sealed with beeswax, I made it 1/2 gallon. It was full but me cord wasn’t secure. It slipped off about a mile in to a trek, hit a rock and cracked open down the middle from neck to lower seamReally? never had a problem like that before, this one is probably#30 and have only had a problem with 1 leaking and that was the customer hung it in direct sun in a mudroom in the summer in Michigan and that was an easy fix to seal the seams back up, it's why I use beeswax to jack the leather and seal it, what did you use to jack the leather and what weight was the leather?
or the goat skin, was it fairly thick or thinner? I use 8/9 oz bark tanned tooling leather for these. It was goat skin, sealed with beeswax, I made it 1/2 gallon. I’ve made some 4 oz one for rum, but ended up giving all away, maybe it had something to do with the volume (?)
