Here in WV we have a 4 day late Mountaineer Heritage season. The deer are really spooky as they’ve been hunted hard from the September bow season opening through rifle and doe seasons. I always try to take a vacation day to hunt this season which is for side lock muzzle loaders or recurve and long bows. It’s a tough time to hunt but was fortunate enough to take a doe yesterday evening with my 62 smooth bore. The versatility of a smooth bore has made it my favorite hunting choice. I’ve taken squirrels, rabbits, crows, turkeys and deer with it and my rifles have been neglected the last few years. Anyway, if you haven’t tried a smoothie, give it a chance. And…. Yes I’m spoiled using my tractor but I’m getting old😉

First class deal right there 😎

You did well neighbor. Good shootin'. I got a nice little buck about one half mile from home. Witness said it was a Buick killed it. Don't matter how it was killed , we don't waste fresh meat. I'm too old for the woods play any more.

There is no argument with a full freezer as proof. Congrats buddy on the fine protein. Backstraps and tacos!
