Latest project - not for me - too bad

Just finished this pistol for a friend and it is my first attempt at engraving. Shipper's book and the various viedos sure make it look easy. HAHAHAHA! It has an L&R lock (which is another story) and a GM .50 cal barrell. Yer building is sure a heap better than yer photography. But, it does show ye done fine on that pistil.
What is the white material for your rod and starter shafts?

I get the distinct honor of working with Mr. Schippers on a weekly basis and watching him work is an awe inspiring appreciation of his knowledge and skill.
The lessons and insight imparted from him are what drives me to improve to be a better gunsmith.
I will never be as good as he is but it is still experience being shared and for that I am indebted to him.
Reading his book is an amazing journey. As he is too.
Come to out to our Gun show in February in Indiana. He is always there.
