When it comes to single shot pistols, which do you prefer: The Le Page or the William Parker.
Does anyone have either of these pistols?
I would like to hear comments, likes or dislikes
or either or both......
I dont own either but cant make up my mind on which to buy.....

Scalper: I don't mean to hijack your thread.
But can I throw the Charles Moore and Continental Duelers into the Mix?
I intend to build one but would like to hear comments on balance and what size barrels are across the flats.

The Billy Parker is more affordable, shoots good and has a nice trigger.
I picked up a well used one a little over a year ago.
I repeatedly shot a 10 shot aggregate from 20 to 35 yds varying, that scores 84 to 94 with several X's. Capper mind you, and half to cost of the lepage....which is also a nice gun hands down!

my load...15gr 3F, .492 homecast and an .015 cotton/olive oil patch, and thinking of backing down to 12gr!

I have the LePage, percussion. I've also had the chance to handle Brett's Parker. They're both nice guns and he does shoot his rather well. Then again he's willing to go out in a snow storm to do a trail walk, too, so we know he ain't quite right.

My LePage will shoot 1" groups at 25 yards off the bench. 15 gr FFFg Goex, CCI caps, .010 patch with bore butter lube and a .433 ball. The trigger spur takes a little getting used to, but it does help with trigger control when shooting duelist style once you get the hang of it. Rear sight is adjustable for elevation. Windage is adjusted by drifting the front sight. There's a cleanout screw in the breech. Not sure how usefull it is, but it does let me get a pipe cleaner in there pretty easy should I feel the need.
Inletting/checkering is quite clean and sharp, lock parts are well polished inside and out as is the bore.
Only problem I've had is the screw for the set trigger would back out over time. Ended up putting a little nail polish on it to keep it where I wanted it.

I will say thetthe pedersoli guns have far better finish throughout and much better checkering.
.45 or .50, that would be your choosing. I've seen Bill's as well, its a nice gun.
The barrel on the parker...I dont know what it is, sources say its in the white. I dont know about that, but every gun should have that steel in its barrel! you cant hurt it! dont rust or nothing! takes to the wash sink real well!
oh, and snow dont hurt it either
when mine becomes a wide shooter, its replacement will be a LePage!
