I have about six LH long gun and a couple RH ones. I’m right eye dominant but only shoot left handed mainly due to arthritis and several shoulder surgeries. I cannot support a long gun when shooting from the right hand shoulder.

The biggest poke in the eye to those that shoot right handed was perpetrated by Sam Colt and his revolvers, his designs are for left handed shooters.

Is that because the shooter must hold the revolver in the left hand while capping the cylinder?

I am right handed and shoot left handed. Thats all I do left handed.

Or roll the revolver to the left in an unnatural manner to accomplish, also on the cartridge guns you have a difficult time manipulating the loading gate right handed.

Sam Colt was left handed.
