Actually true! It was an European version of "that's a good idea". It suffered from the "long on cool & short on practical"! :wink: The best barometer to gauge it by is that when a few became available to the troops, they stayed with Colt's and, in Texas, shotguns too!
 
Definitely a lot of hand held firepower. A real advantage in a fight with a six shooter. But kinda like German automobiles, more complicated than it needs to be. The cylinders are very close together which probably caused the chain fire. Pietta didn't finish the inside of the cylinder bore very well which probably increases fouling quickly. I'm gonna hone that out.
