Leonard Day Fowler….first whitetail hunt

I took my .62 Leonard Day Fowler hunting for the first time. I had previously done a lot of load development and she ended up liking 80 grains of Goex 2F and a .020 patched .595 ball. Trail camera showed no decent bucks, so I wasn’t too picky. Happy to put her to work. From what I can tell, I’m the third caretaker and this is her first kill. Hopefully, there will be many more.

I'll admit my ignorance regarding details about your gun. I believe it's a Club Butt, and I've seen pictures of the locks, but don't really know anything much about the history.

It’s held basically like any other rifle. You just need to find the sweet spot on the shoulder. It’s very balanced and handles very well.
