What do I do if it left a white film on my new shooting pouch? I had dyed it and finished it with gum trag but hadn't decided if I wanted to put any bag kote on it yet.
Just rub it down good first and then apply your top coat - the white film will disappear - it's a common occurrence with Lexol which is by the way a form of synthetic whale oil and has natural waxes that can leave a white film....
The white film is the result of using too much. If the leather isn't porus enough it sets on top. Just rub the leather well and that should remove any excess that doesn't penetrate. :idunno:
