When I bought mine a couple of years ago I did a google search for linen thread and found several suppliers. I don't remember the name right now, but I got mine from a bookbinder supplier. Seems that is what is used by binders to make books the old way and for people restoring them. It was available in several thicknesses and spool sizes.
