Tried something a little different..I took two pieces of steel cable, heated and flattened them.Put a piece of 01 tool steel then stacked the flattened cable then another piece of 01 then the cable and forged it all together and gave it one simple twist in the process..Made a 5 1/2" blade out of some of it with a 5 1/2" rattle snake tail handle carved from antler..My carving skills arent all that great,John helped me alot..

Dave,
VERY good! That blade would be a near perfect match with a horn I have. A wicked handle! Good work. :hatsoff:
Bud.

Great work Rick that pattern welded blade is nice and great work on the handle.

Dunno swampy, lately its been uploading my pics like that..Thanks James..I`m still learning to carve and my rattler tail came out looking stubby..

very nice steel and handle! Great job!

On the stubby tail... just tell 'em it's a female rattler. Any snake wrangler would know that right off. :hmm: Male snakes have much more taper.
