Load filler?

Are you talking about a larger projectile or replacing the filler with #8 or cloud shot?

A larger projectile. I’m still working on the exact numbers but the last figures I had showed a projectile .525” long which leaves a hair to keep the projectile from the chamber mouth so as not to get gas cut when firing, and a hair of room for powder variance. At one time I also included space for a cardboard over powder card, but I will be omitting that as I’ve never had issues with powder contamination so feel it’s wasted.

I’m working off of a prior bullet I designed. It’ll be slightly shorter and drop around .454”.

All my seven bp revolvers, except my ROA and Uberti 1860 army, were purchased new in 2024. I am 71 years old and I seriously doubt that I will wear out these revolvers in my lifetime.
