Those 1075 caps are little bit bigger than regular #10's, so if the 1075's seat all of the way, I'd try to get some #10 Remingtons, which is what I and my son use on all of our revolvers. Our you could change-out the nipples.

Hope that this helps.

Seating balls below the chamber mouth does not hurt accuracy in most guns. The so called jump from chamber to forcing cone in low pressure BP handguns is not that much of a factor. I have tried this in many good accurate BP handguns with out a problem. This idea of fillers and ball placement is carry over from modern centerfire loading. I do find that most of the C&Bs perform better with max-loads at 25 & 50 yds. The chambers need to be full of powder to create enough energy for longer range.

I have used fillers (corn meal, grits) and not. I use a 22 grain charge and have not seen any change in accuracy between the two. But then again my accuracy with this revolver has been hit and miss shooting offhand. My observations on the fillers; put your powder in and fill the remaining volume of the cylinder with your filler, top with a ball and ram home. You do not need to measure the filler. The grits compact more than corn meal so it is possible to seat the ball below the face of the cylinder. The corn meal does not compress so much so you typically will get the ball closer to the face of the cylinder after ramming. Also, 35 grains fffg is the volume of the cylinder on my pietta. So you can fill it to the top, put on a ball and ram it home-get a big boom and cloud of smoke-feel like a real man!
