...and this is part 2, with a certain person doing the shooting..........

Below I've posted some of the interesting stamps on this fine old piece of naval history...

Enjoyed watching him use the the swivel rammer.

What's the powder charge, if I may ask?

Probably a privately-bought pistol with the lock marked Witton Brothers London -

A very short and handy piece, and with it's proper service load of at least 60gr of powder, certainly a show-stopper at shot range.

Sure, good thinking. WOW, I bet a 60 grain charge would make that a handful in recoil! Gus

TBH, it's in great condition all over - it has VERY tight action and a good crisp trigger. The bore is very clean, too, and shows little signs of its age under a bore light. However, it's not worth blowing up, just to see how much it would take to do it. Even an old pistol like this is still a costly 'toy' here in UK here it was made. You might get one like it for around a thousand dollars, but then again, you might not. And remember that here it is counted - if you intend to shoot it - every bit as much a firearm as a modern unmentionable.

Awesome :)

YouTube is a cesspool, I posted a video of me shooting shotgun slugs in a smoothbore musket , and I had people making bizarre comments.
