Loading pan when hunting

I'm from Indy so I know about humidity. I aint goin back :td: Yer shade dont work and yer pan gets soupy and a bunch more. But my cousins and grand parents all love(d) it. I moved west at age 5 so I only judge ya from memories of twice a year vacations back to visit.

Wonder how Boone n Crackett and "the boys" dealt with it? They didn't carry alcohol swabs n such. Just a shirt tail?
 
Yeah, the underside of the tail of one side of my hunting shirts tends to be stained with black powder ash from the pan. Also, nothing wrong with tucking a small rag up inside the cuff of the right (or left) wrist. :wink:

The wisdom of grandmothers. Mine always did that with kleenex. Must have learned it from her muzzleloading pap. :wink:
