What is everyone using for a loading stand? Any commerically available or does anyone have plans/pictures to share?

Thanks...Mike

Make a simple, ugly, one out of scrap lumber. Make sure it fits properly and use it for a while. Then make a pretty one if you want. I have had to adjust them, it would be a shame to make a beautiful walnut or cherry stand and then find out it does not fit the way that you want ot to it.

I completely agree. I like the stands made out of scrap better than the fancy ones. I've made several for single shot and revolver pistols. I had almost as good a time making the stands as shooting the pistols.

When I make a pistol stand, I like to support the wrist of the handle and put gussets to support the frame uprights. The wrist support is made by cutting a pattern from a piece of paper to the curve of the wrist to the 90 degree angle of the upright frame.
