Muzzle Blasts also published a three part series by the late Bill Roberts on "Long-Range Black Powder Shooting." This is an excellent introduction to anyone considering long range muzzle loading - and has much to offer the newcomer and experienced rifleman. The series was published in the November 1999, December 1999 and January 2000 issues.

The articles as Fred says are published in the magazine and not on-line. Contact: National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, PO Box 67, Friendship, IN 47021, USA (www.nmlra.org) for details of back issues.

Some of Bill Roberts' writings are in the 'technical reference' section of www.lrml.org

I tried paper patching the Lee Mini in my .50 cal Lyman Deerstalker, and found it the most accurate of anything I have shot to date. At 50 yards 3 shots all touched. The recoil was a lot more than my arthritic shoulder wanted, so I have gone back to the round ball.
