Brianpa, A Long Hammock barrel won't disappoint you. They're pretty good. Le Grand

Last time I bought a LongHammock barrel, the bore was so rough I sent it back for a refund. I guess they are hit & miss on quality like everyone else. I'm not the onlyone who has had that problem.

GO with a Green Mt
built by my friends in North Conway NH..
Best in the world :v

Thanks for the replies.
I was in contact with Green Mt. and they don't do custom work.I need a barrel 32"L X 1 1/8" X 45cal.
1:18 twist

Riley at Long Hammock is a good guy. I'm sure he'll make it right for you.

Two other options are either Ed Rayle or Mark De Haas. I just ordered a barrel from the latter. He makes very good stuff for a very fair price and has a pretty good turn around time compared to most.

I think you can search the archives here for contact info on both Rayle and De Haas.

Sean

Whoops, just realized you want a 1 in 18" twist. I don't think Mark makes bullet barrels any more. Call him and ask.

Check with Numerich for a fast twist barrel in large diameter. They make pretty good barrels at reasonable prices.

The .40 I got was nice,dont be in a hurry He's a busy fella.
Another option is Les Bauska he makes a good barrel.

You might try Jim Carpenter (208-245-3693) He bought out Orion rifle barrel several years back and is making custom barrels at a good price. I buy blanks from him sometimes and do my own rifling. He can do swamp barrels and just about any twist you want.

Check with GM again. I have a .45x32x1 1/8 octagon with 18 twist on a 45/100 Stevens that I purchased from them about two years ago. The barrel is a straight octagon, not tapered like the BPCR barrels.
