My lee 90448 dc .490 mold is throwing pure lead at.492, wheel weights at .494.
I measured store bought speer 490's, they go .488-.489. I probly got a marginal mold by lee's standards since the allow minus .000, + .003
I was thinking of going to a .485 and patch up accordingly.
Your thoughts???
anyone have a .485 they wanna trade or sell?
I think lee used to make double cavity in that. I have used lee molds forever and this is my first issue!

Thanks,

Brett

Anyone with a .50 would be better off using a .485 and patching up. Rapine will make anything you want.

Jeff Tanner's rb molds are inexpensive and accurate, and available in any size you'd like him to make (Except really big stuff, I think...), plus his turnaround is fast. I needed a .515 as an experiment, and Jeff's price was in the "reasonable experiment" range.

opps... sorry... I don't think Jeff does dbl cavity molds, so maybe he won't be able to do what you're looking for

Hey marmot!
how do I find him or does he have a website?
I think lee made one years back but not currently.

Thanks for the input,

Brett

I would really like to find an old LEE 2 cavity if someone has one they are willing to part with, or any other decent 485 or 488 mold. 2 cavs would be nice, single if I have to.

Thanks group,

Brett

Still looking for a .485 or .488 double cavity mold, preferably LEE.
I am looking everywhere so if you know of one,
Please let me know.
