Hi I'm looking for a nice gun club to join in the Monroeville Pa area. I belonged to the McKeesport Gun club years ago but when I joined the AF I quit. Now that I'm back in the area (Verona Pa) I'm looking for a new club to join. I saw the web site for the Monroeville Gun Club but I don't know any members that can sponser me Can anybody out there point me to a nice club for me and my son to join I have been going to the state game lands range but I'd like to get into shooting seriously again and thats not the best place for that, plus My son is 9 and ready to begin shooting I feel that a culd is a better place to foster his interist.

rifleshooter2,
you mite want to check with the NMLRA for a club in your area. most B/P clubs are afilliated with them.
i have been to three B/P clubs in my area and found that if
you just show up at one of their club shoots they will welcome you with open "arms".
Try www.NMLRA.com

Here you go, try this site. There is a club in Latrobe called "Olde Westmoreland Rifles" they have plenty of shoots and 3 very nice woods walk ranges. They hold a rondy in July that is nice. The best contact should be Phil Cravener in Latrobe, sorry I do not have his number. On this site are other clubs that may be close to you also. Our club gets together once a month starting in March but it would be a 2 hour drive for you. Hope this helps.

My Dad and I belonged to The Old Westmorland Rifles about 20 years ago. It's a great club. I will look them up.

Snake Eyes,

I think that you mean that the link should be http://www.nmlra.org as the .com site is not valid.

I have been reading the threads about the NMLRA and their stance and support of the inlines. It is quite interesting that the home page waxes eloquently about "early American firearms" and "antique firearms and related accoutrements" throughout the page.

I am new to this and am viewing the discussions as an outsider, so I have no real opinion yet - but some strong leanings!

On the positive side, I dropped an e-mail to the local BP club to see what's up!

PorkChop,
you are absolutly right!! i stand corrected. thanks
