Have been doing alot of searching but no luck.
I want one for both the crockett and a kentucky long rifle.
Anyone know where to find them or at least a kit.

I have a couple real simple ones. A strap slit at the top to loop over the barrel (or rammer) and a slit at the bottom with a cross-strap to go across the buttplate. This one was a T/C product as I remember and I copied it for a more adjustable version to fit all my rifles and guns.

Can you shoot with it on, or does it interfere with the sight picture?

The sights on the T/C are high enough to shoot with it on. Or, you could just loop it around the rammer between thimbles to keep it under the barrel.

I carry it in my pack and never use it when hunting - only for the drag out. When the sights are likely to be used and a deer might be needing shooting I want the rifle in my arms. Not over my shoulder. That's marching - not hunting.
