I am in search of a great piece of Curly Ash for a new gun build I am planning. If you have one for sale or know someone that does, I would love the information.
Thanks,
Steven B.

I've called or emailed all the main known "players". I bought my last blank from Nathan, and he was my first contact. I am now looking for a "known" piece. Thanks.I'd call one of the wood suppliers. Freddy harrison's son in law would be your best bet.
Talk to the Amish if you have any living around you. Each community seems to have a saw mill or ten near them . I get most my stock slabs from them and cut out my blanks . If no Amish near you just look for saw mills in general . ... Gun builders too ...good luck . Nothing wrong with specialty ships but their prices are highI am in search of a great piece of Curly Ash for a new gun build I am planning. Hey, I resemble that!As suggested, you may find a sawyer to supply a blank. But, it is likely to be fresh cut and you may have to put in dry storage for a few years before you can use it.
It's a piece that someone actually has....or knows about....that is for sale.Just what is a known piece?
