Looking for events

Hi Folks, I live in NE North Carolina and was wondering what is the best way to find out about events (ML gun shows, trade shows, shoots, etc.)in this area or in SE Virginia. I've done a search and searched for nearby clubs and came up empty.

Capt., Go to www.muzzleloadermag.com/ and use their "Find A Club" directory. You'll find quite a bit.

I had tried the Muzzleloader mag site and the closest club is a couple of hours away. Bummer. I'll check the NMLRA.

Is it Muzzleloader mag that has the listings section that carries a lot of these kinds of events? If so maybe I'll just subscribe to it and keep my eyes peeled for local events.

Look up Smoke and Fire if you look about 3 reply down you will fine the url. They list all events in the country. Or try www.smoke&Fire.com hope it works. Look under Renacting in Western Pennsylvania about 3 articals below this one.

CApt., Muzzleloader magazine has a lot of advertisements for events but not an actual listing. There's still plenty to read in that mag. You might try going to the NMLRA website to find the state reps for both NC and Virginia. Also, see if those states have their own muzzleloading associations which would have more complete listings of their events.

Alright, I signed up for all three. Who said muzzleloading was cheap? :hmm: LOL
