I don't know of a commercially available minie that large. :hmm:

Lyman makes/used to make a .69 minie, which, if you follow the 2-thousanths under bore rule for minie size, might be sufficient. If you can't find it at Lyman http://www.lymanproducts.com/lymanproducts/bpmold.htm

Otherwise, it'll be a custom mould at custom mould prices... :shocked2:

Curiosity drives me to ask: what's he want it for?

Sounds like he has an Austrian rifle-musket. I dug a couple of dropped .71's near my home. Ideal made a .69 mold which is what I have.

Hate to tell you this but in a long, long time I have never seen a stock commercial minie' mould larger than 69 caliber. But if you check dimensions it may be possible for you to use traditional paper patched minie's to shoot the 69. You may also wish to inquire with Lyman or Lee as to the size of their 12 gauge slug moulds. Wonky

I've never seen one either. He probably could paper patch a .69 and maybe get some accuracy. Or have a skilled machinist tweak a .69 mold a little. A .71 Minie is a huge chunk of lead going over 700 grs. My .69 mold throws a 685 gr. bullet. I don't have a .69 rifle at this time, but I have shot them from a smoothbore for the heck of it. Beyond 25 yds. they're worthless, but really tear a hole through a backer and the ground!

The .71's I dug up were dropped in a Federal camp near my home and it was a big treat to me because it helped me identify what the regiment there was armed with.
