There is is a small pin on my revolver that holds the reloading press to the lever on my 1858 Pietta Reminton 44 cal cap and ball revolver.
I actually just pulled it out by hand when claening after it started shaking loose after my last shooting session. It seems like it was simply "peaned over" how can I tighten this pin up to keep it from shaking loose in the future?
Thanx in advance,

I would try using a center punch to swage the ends of the pin out.

The punch would have to have a sharp point on it and I would need to use my vise as a back-up to support the other end of the pin.

I would also really need my good glasses to make sure the center of the punch was right in the center of the pin before I gave it a tap with a small hammer.

If I didn't have a center punch I would dig out one of the hardened round bodied concrete nails I have and use it to deform/swage the ends of the pin out.

Fixed ! I used a sharpened punch for the center of the pin and also used a slightly wider punch to peen over the edge of the hole..no more loose pin!

Glad to hear you fixed the problem. :)

I toyed with suggesting a cyanoacrylate crazy glue but even with absolutely clean surfaces there isn't much area for the glue to bond to.

With the old fashioned swaged metal to metal method you can't go wrong.
