Reenactors representing 1774 Virginia militia drilled and demonstrated firing their muskets and mortar.
Yes, at this point in time they marched under British colors and on orders from Virginia's last royal governor, Lord Dunsmore. A few months after returning as victors of the Battle of Point Pleasant, some veterans would find their way to the Continental Army and Lord Dunsmore would flee Williamsburg to the safety of a British warship anchored in Chesapeake Bay.
